Tim & Kacy....Engaged!

Tim & Kacy have hired us to photograph and DJ their April 30th wedding, and with that they also received a free engagement shoot! Since we were running out of time for the engagement photos to be completed before the wedding, we decided to set a date and get them done. The weather has not been in our favor for getting outside for a shoot, so we decided to try to find a great indoor location. I have only done shoots in the winter at the Hilbert Conservatory at White River Gardens and the Zoo. It has the most variety, and is always open.....except for right now! They have closed the conservatory to prepare it for the Orchid show that starts on March 18th. So, we had to find a different location.
I had seen wedding photos at the Library before, and thought we should give it a try. I am so glad that we did. It turned out to be a great spot for an Engagement shoot!

Class of 2012 Senior Representatives Needed

Now taking applications for Class of 2012 Senior Portrait Representatives!
If you will be graduating in 2012 from any of the Hendricks, Morgan, or Western Marion County High Schools, we want you to represent Muzik & Memories Senior Photography.
If you are outgoing and love to be in front of the camera, you are exactly what we are looking for!
As a Senior Portrait Representative, you will get  50% off your session (unlimited clothing changes at up to 2 locations of your choice) and be given 50 rep cards (postcard size) to pass out to your classmates. You will also receive 10 digital images to post on Facebook. Each Facebook image will have a Muzik & Memories watermark. For each classmate that books their Senior Portrait Session on or by August 31, 2011, you will receive a $35 credit good toward your print order. Each classmate you refer will get 16 free wallets from their session. Get 3-5 referrals and you will get 30 digital images with copyright release. More than 5 referrals gets you a free Senior mini album.
To qualify as a Senior rep, you must first fill out our application, here. Applications must be received by May 1st, 2011.
We can only accept 2 students, one male and one female, from each high school as reps. Once accepted, you must complete your session by May 31st, 2011. Your rep card images will be chosen from this session. You will receive your rep cards within 2-4 weeks of your session. You will be asked to pass out your rep cards from May through August. Your classmates must book their session by August 31st for you to receive your referral credits.

St. Francis' Pet Hospital Valentine's Pet Portraits

On February 13th, we did Pet portraits at St. Francis' Pet Hospital in Mooresville, IN. It was a lot of fun, like the Santa photos. We are thinking that our next opportunity for your pets to be photographed, at the clinic, will be sometime toward the end of March for Easter photos! Below are some of the photos we ended up with for Valentine's day.

Amy & Ronnie Engaged!

On February 7th, I met Amy & Ronnie at the entrance to White River Gardens & the Indianapolis Zoo for their Engagement shoot. I have been wanting to shoot at the Gardens & Zoo for a long time but this is the first couple to be interested. Amy wanted something different. She didn't want to go to IMA like everyone else does. So, we discussed going to the Conservatory at White River Gardens. While there, and since admission is good for both, we decided to walk around the Zoo and see what shots we may be able to get with the animals indoors. We were able to get into the Oceans, Dolphins, and Deserts. Congratulations Amy & Ronnie, and thank you for the opportunity to present something different!

Welcoming Baby!

On January 17th, I had the pleasure of photographing a brand new baby and her family. I do not post the names of the children that I photograph, but have permission to show the photos. This shoot was done in the family home with my portable studio. We chose to keep it simple with just black and white backgrounds. I look forward to working with this family again in the future.

Valentine's Day Pet Portraits at St. Francis' Pet Hospital in Mooresville

On Saturday, February 13th from 2-4pm, we will be set up for pet portraits at the St. Francis' Pet Hospital Mooresville location. We had a great time with pictures with Santa, so we are going to do this again! Below are the background choices we will have available for our Greenscreen. Come join us at 9042 Hendricks County Line Rd, Camby, IN 46113! No appointment necessary. $10 gets you a 5x7 while you wait. Proceeds benefit the St. Francis Fund. You can be in the photo with your pet, or just have your pet's photo taken. It's your choice!

2010.....it's finally here! It seems like 2009 just flew by! We want to thank everyone for a wonderful year, and we are looking forward to the year to come.
We are already busy booking new weddings, and setting up portrait sessions.
We want to thank Foxcliff Estates North for yet another great New Year's party! Erricka brought in the New Year with the residents of this beautiful community. We are looking forward to working with you again!
