Boudoir Mini-Sessions

It looks like we are getting closer to setting up some Boudoir mini-sessions in the very near future.  I am hoping to get something in the first few weekends of November.  I want to be able to have photos ready to give to that special someone for Christmas.
Lynette Weber Photography will be assisting with this mini-session.  We have already found a make-up and hair stylist, I am in contact with some creative ladies for hair pieces and jewelry, all I need now is a location!  I have five places that I am going to be meeting with over the next two weeks.  Once we have the place pinned down, we will be set to go!
I am very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to you all.  I know that the mention of it got a great response.
I am looking forward to setting up more mini-sessions in the future!

Mini Sessions for April 9th & 10th

Our very first Mini Sessions are available!  What is a mini session, you might ask?  Well, a mini session is a 30-40 minute session at a set date and at a predetermined location.  A standard session takes place on the date, and at the location, of your choosing.  Standard sessions can also last from 1 to 2 hours with unlimited clothing changes.

What if it rains?  A new date will be set for the same location.  If you are unable to make the new date, your deposit will be credited to a standard session, or refunded.

When and where?   7 sessions available each day from 11am-4pm
To book your date and time, email Erricka at erricka@muzikandmemories.com with the date and time you would like to sign up for.  She will send you an invoice with a paypal button to pay your deposit.

Tim & Kacy....Engaged!

Tim & Kacy have hired us to photograph and DJ their April 30th wedding, and with that they also received a free engagement shoot! Since we were running out of time for the engagement photos to be completed before the wedding, we decided to set a date and get them done. The weather has not been in our favor for getting outside for a shoot, so we decided to try to find a great indoor location. I have only done shoots in the winter at the Hilbert Conservatory at White River Gardens and the Zoo. It has the most variety, and is always open.....except for right now! They have closed the conservatory to prepare it for the Orchid show that starts on March 18th. So, we had to find a different location.
I had seen wedding photos at the Library before, and thought we should give it a try. I am so glad that we did. It turned out to be a great spot for an Engagement shoot!

Class of 2012 Senior Representatives Needed

Now taking applications for Class of 2012 Senior Portrait Representatives!
If you will be graduating in 2012 from any of the Hendricks, Morgan, or Western Marion County High Schools, we want you to represent Muzik & Memories Senior Photography.
If you are outgoing and love to be in front of the camera, you are exactly what we are looking for!
As a Senior Portrait Representative, you will get  50% off your session (unlimited clothing changes at up to 2 locations of your choice) and be given 50 rep cards (postcard size) to pass out to your classmates. You will also receive 10 digital images to post on Facebook. Each Facebook image will have a Muzik & Memories watermark. For each classmate that books their Senior Portrait Session on or by August 31, 2011, you will receive a $35 credit good toward your print order. Each classmate you refer will get 16 free wallets from their session. Get 3-5 referrals and you will get 30 digital images with copyright release. More than 5 referrals gets you a free Senior mini album.
To qualify as a Senior rep, you must first fill out our application, here. Applications must be received by May 1st, 2011.
We can only accept 2 students, one male and one female, from each high school as reps. Once accepted, you must complete your session by May 31st, 2011. Your rep card images will be chosen from this session. You will receive your rep cards within 2-4 weeks of your session. You will be asked to pass out your rep cards from May through August. Your classmates must book their session by August 31st for you to receive your referral credits.

Welcoming Baby!

On January 17th, I had the pleasure of photographing a brand new baby and her family. I do not post the names of the children that I photograph, but have permission to show the photos. This shoot was done in the family home with my portable studio. We chose to keep it simple with just black and white backgrounds. I look forward to working with this family again in the future.

Senn-Bruce Family at IMA

I met this family at IMA for their Sunday afternoon shoot. This was an Engagement/Family session. The couple is scheduled to be married on the 5th of September. They have been together for nine years now.

IMA Shoot

I am not able to share with you the name of this beautiful little girl, but I can share her photos with you! I had fun following her around the gardens of IMA. She was very interested in all of the flowers, until she heard the bees buzzing around! The goldfish also caught her attention for awhile.
I hope to get to work with this family again in the future!

Weaver-Olajimbiti Engagement Shoot

Leslie Weaver & Amos Olajimbiti are getting married on August 29th! This is the first chance we have had to get their engagement photos completed though. Amos has just moved to Indiana from Nigeria. Leslie and Amos met in Nigeria and have been carrying on a long distance relationship ever since. It was a pleasure to photograph this couple. Even with the distance that has been between them, you can feel the love coming from the two of them when they look into each others eyes! I am looking forward to photographing their wedding!

On July 14th, I headed to the Moulton home, with my portable studio, for a maternity session with Bradford & Nichole. I tried something a little new to me with this one. I added their ultrasound photo to one of the pictures!
